Practice area · Mass tort

One standard across the whole inventory

Qualification is the work in mass tort, and it is the part that does not scale by hand. Superinsight reads every plaintiff file against the same criteria and returns exposure windows, qualifying injuries, and causation evidence, quoted from the record and cited to the page.

No limit on the number of plaintiffs or the pages in each file.

Exposure timeline Plaintiff 412 of 1,180
1979–1983

Documented residence at the affected installation

“Assigned quarters on base for the full duty period.”

Service file, p. 22
Jun 2009

Diagnosis on the qualifying list

“Pathology confirms diagnosis; treatment plan initiated.”

Ex. 6, p. 341
Records

Treating oncologist records not yet produced

Named in three later notes; nothing from that practice is in the file.

2011–2014

Continuing treatment documented

“Surveillance imaging every six months; no evidence of recurrence.”

Ex. 8, p. 596

Illustrative example. The records shown are not from a real case.

What you get

Intake that reads the records instead of the questionnaire

Exposure timelines

Residence, service, employment, or prescription periods laid out against the treatment record, so the interval that matters is visible.

Qualifying conditions identified

Diagnoses and symptoms associated with the exposure surfaced from the chart, with the page behind each one.

Causation evidence, quoted

The entries linking exposure to condition, in the words the record used rather than a summary of them.

Consistent output per plaintiff

Every file comes back in the same shape, which is what makes one plaintiff comparable to the next at settlement.

The records still missing

Providers named in the chart whose files never arrived, flagged before a deficiency notice makes the point for you.

Re-reads when criteria change

When a new presumptive condition is recognized, the inventory you already hold can be read again against it.

Free for law firms

Qualification should not cost more than the case is worth

A per-page review makes inventory work a budget exercise: you review the files you can afford, and the rest are decided on an intake form. Evaluating cases in Superinsight is free and uncapped, so the whole inventory is read before anyone decides which plaintiffs to carry.

  • No cap on plaintiffs, cases, or pages
  • The same criteria applied to every file in the inventory
  • Updates in minutes as records come in per plaintiff
  • Monthly plans start at $250 once you want to go further

Litigation types

Support across mass tort categories

Water contamination

Camp Lejeune and similar matters, where the case turns on establishing presence during the exposure window.

Pharmaceutical litigation

Prescription histories, adverse events, and the conditions that followed, read out of the medical record.

Defective medical devices

Implant procedures, complications, and revision surgeries documented in sequence with their operative notes.

Chemical and occupational exposure

Workplace and environmental exposure documented alongside the health effects recorded afterward.

How it works

From batch upload to a qualified inventory

  1. 01

    Upload in bulk

Plaintiff files go up together through the HIPAA-certified portal, in whatever form they were collected.

  2. 02

    Every file is read

Each record is read for exposure, qualifying diagnoses, and the documentation tying the two together.

  3. 03

    Results come back cited

Findings arrive in the same format per plaintiff, each line carrying the page it came from.

  4. 04

    Sort the inventory

See which files are documented, which are thin, and which are waiting on records that were never produced.

  5. 05

    Export for the process

Take the per-plaintiff work-up into PDF or Word for census submissions, settlement matrices, or co-counsel.

Security and compliance

Thousands of plaintiffs' records. One standard of custody.

  • HIPAA certified — Business Associate Agreement countersigned before your first upload
  • ISO 42001 certified — the international standard for responsible AI management
  • SOC 2 Type 1 certified — independently audited controls for security, availability, and confidentiality
  • An AI first pass verified by your own attorneys, with medical experts available to review

Model Rule 1.6(c) obliges your firm to vet its vendors, and Rule 1.1 extends the duty of competence to technology. The audit reports and subprocessor list are available during onboarding.

Common questions

Can Superinsight handle an entire plaintiff inventory?
Yes. There is no cap on the number of cases or the number of pages in each one, so a whole inventory can be read against the same criteria rather than triaged by whichever files someone had time for.
How does it keep analysis consistent across plaintiffs?
Every file is put through the same questions and returned in the same shape, so one plaintiff's record can be compared to the next. Each finding still quotes that plaintiff's chart and cites the page it came from.
What does an exposure timeline look like?
Periods of residence, service, employment, or prescription are laid out alongside the treatment record, so the interval between exposure and diagnosis reads as a timeline instead of a set of assertions in an intake sheet.
What happens when a new presumptive condition is recognized?
Records already in the platform can be re-read against the new criteria, so plaintiffs who did not qualify under the earlier standard are identified from the file you already have rather than from a second collection effort.
What does it cost to evaluate the inventory?
Evaluating cases is free, with no limit on cases or pages, which is the only sane arrangement when qualification is the work. When you want to go further on a file, a monthly plan starts at $250.
How is plaintiff privacy protected?
The review is an AI first pass on HIPAA-certified infrastructure, verified by your own attorneys, with medical experts available to review. Superinsight is HIPAA certified, ISO 42001 certified for responsible AI management, and SOC 2 Type 1 certified.
